Advocate & Volunteer

At Kid Scoop News, we welcome you to volunteer and help us fulfill our mission of providing access to high-interest engaging reading materials and activities students need to support reading, writing, and participating productively in our community.

Kid Scoop News requests help in a wide variety of opportunities including assistance with internal office operations, conducting research and data collection, distribution, and special event support. Volunteers are needed for Kid Scoop News Camps periodically. Volunteers do not need to be Spanish-speaking. To join us in supporting literacy while having fun, too, please contact monica@kidscoopnews.org.

My students love strengthening their reading comprehension and puzzle-solving skills with Kids Scoop News. As a teacher, I love having a no-prep activity for them to work on during brain break time or as a fast-finisher assignment.
